Doctormirk (100), USA Apr 11, 2007 (Trying to interpret old notes....not very successful). Imagine if 7-11 came out with a banana-coffee slurpee; that’s this beer. Sweet with some nuts. But overall; slurpee.
mgumby10 (1651), West Palm Beach, Florida, USA Aug 31, 2008 Draft. Pours a dark, cloudy maroon amber, with a well retained light tan head. Smells of some big banana, phenols, wheat, dark malt, and dark fruits. Very fruity nose. The flavor is very much on the sweet side, big on the bubblegum, almost a bit too much. The malt comes though more in the finish though to give it some balance, but seemed a bit overdone to me. Just decent here. hopscotch (4679), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Aug 30, 2008 Draft... RBSG ‘08... Clear, dark mahogany ale with a small, creamy, khaki-colored head. Lots of chocolate covered banana in the nose; lesser notes of clove and bubblegum. Medium to full-bodied and silky with expired carbonation. Ridiculously sweet flavor offers banana, bubblegum and a little clove. Finishes sweet and fruity. DA (2586), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Aug 16, 2008 RBSG 2008. Lots of banana in the nose, soft caramel and chocolate notes, but it all gets swept under the banana. Pours mahogany with a small off-white head. Very smooth body from the wheat, but lacked a bit of crispness in the finish. riversideAK (1757), Shoreline, Washington, USA Aug 12, 2008 Aroma is roasted wheat malts, some chocolate too. Pours a muddy brown color. Roasted wheat, chocolate, and a touch of sweet fruity bits and pieces. Body is smooth and almost creamy with a little noticeable alcohol. yespr (7817), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 6, 2008 From tap at Carlsbad. Pours dark brown with an orange glare and a lacing white head. Wheaty and estery fruity aroma. Roasted malt too. Roasted malt and slight metallic initial flavour. Smooth chocolate and light wheaty flavour and texture. Ends fruity and sweet with a mild metallic note.
