28/12/2012 Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Bevuta al Pizza Port Tap Takeover. Ambrata scarica, limpida, schiuma bianca abbondante e molto persistente.

An amber colored pour with a white head. Floral and citrus hop aromas such as grapefruit and tangerine. Some toasted bread sweetness to go with the hop profile. Aroma and flavor are both pretty straightforward/simple. Semi-sweet citrus character to the flavor. Some tangerine and orange with a light grapefruit bitterness. Some floral hops, a hint of pine, and good solid bread/malt base.

Wet hopped with Citra this year. Clear medium dark amber with a lasting one finger off-white head. Aroma is grassy with some herbal green notes. A bit danky as it warms, lightly sweaty. Flavor is grassy with some lemon citrus--not Sorachi Ace lemon, though--a tinge soapy, the biscuit malt having just a little sweetness. Nice and hoppy. Dry finish, bitterness peaked at a 4-5. Light to medium body with prickly moderate carbonation. Tasty, but would like to see this as a non wet hopped beer. 7-5-8-3-15--3.8

On tap at the source. Pours with a large white head with a clear and slightly deep yellow body. Aromas of grapefruit, citrus peel, spicy, pungent, tangerine. Flavors are very interesting and pretty solid. Tangerine, grapefruit, bracing co-humulone abrasive bitterness...but it works. Dank, dry, lots of grapefruit, lively bubbles, dry.

On tap @ Pizza Port Ocean Beach: Poured a glimmering golden ale with a soft patch of foam up top. The aroma comes up empty with not much to smell other than some weak puny hops. However, the flavor comes up big with a bitter mouthful of succulent hops that leave behind a bitter and metallic aftertaste that deem this beer worthy of another order.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 pantanap (3156) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 17, 2011
On tap at ocean beach... Pours a mostly transparent light cidery brown tint, some orange, and topped with a fluffy creamy white head... Pretty fresh grassy and creamy smooth orangey citrus notes. Not crazy vibran but fresh... Flavors are a combination of citrus and grass. Solid without incredible complexity. Easy drinking, lighter bodied with a mild grassy citrus rind bitterness on the backend. Nice and quaffable.

On tap at Pizza Port OB. Clear light amber pour with a scant white head. Nice lacing. Great citrusy hop nose. Light mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Flavor is all about the hops - nice bitterness and grapefruit like flavor. Really nicely done!

Served on tap at Port OB. The appearance is a nice clear golden hue with a lacing white head. The aromas are wonderful fresh hops, lots of pine aromas. The flavors are more tasty fresh hops, pine, herbal, and light spicy flavors. Really fresh and delicious. The mouth is medium bodied, mildly bitter, perfect carbonation. Excellent fresh hop brew. Not over the top but full of flavors.
