This Pale Ale was brewed to celebrate the head brewers wedding, but enjoyed by everyone, no ball & chain required. Marris Otter as a base malt and Citra as a bittering and aroma hop. 1.051 SG 1.009 FG

Growler pour at DLD from Kan. Thanks! Okay, I have to admit I wasn’t fair to this one. I was drinking fresh Zombie Dust side by side with this. There was a breadiness about the aromatics and some softer hop character, almost tending towards German hops with light citrus components. Lacking the bright tropical fruit notes typical of Citra. On taste, a pleasing and balanced bitterness and a refreshing hop character. Malt body is really nice, perhaps overwhelms the hop flavor somewhat. A good beer, just wasn’t fair to have it side by side with Zombie Dust, that’s all.

Tried as a sampler at the Monk. This one was the fourth on the tray and it was good and would have been better earlier in the tasting. Citra stands out and enjoying this more and more.

Growler shared by Kan at DLD11. Thanks man! Golden yellow with a white head. Citrus and grains in the aroma. Light malts sweet citrus flavors. Some dry bitterness. The aroma is better than the flavor but good overall. 8/3/7/3/15

Sample from growler at DLD (thanks Kan). Pours a golden/light brown color with a medium sized white head. The aroma was citrus favoring grapefruit and tangerine with light notes of grainy bread. The flavor has a nice base of bready malt with ample citrus hops that favor grapefruit and tangerine. Grassy notes throughout. This was a nice diversion in between so many big beers.

Served on tap at Port OB. The appearance is an ever so slightly hazy gold with a small white head. The nose and aromas are really nice. A nice load of lemon peel, other citrus, a nice mild hop bite with a solid malty backing. A nice refreshing pale ale for the summer months. I clicked through a little fast and this should be a Pale Ale, I already sent in for a correction.

Pours clearish light orange with a small white head that leaves specks of lace. Smells subdued hoppy, citrus with a hint of sweetness. Tastes light and hoppy citrusy with a nice balance of sweet, caramel, cereal malts. Medium body, good carbonation.

On-tap at PPSB. Pours clearish yellow/orange with a medium sized white head, spider web lace. Smells bright, citrusy hoppy with a mellow, earthy malt backbone. Tastes nice and bright hoppy citrusy sweet with a building, slightly metallic, cereal malt profile. Lingering hop notes. Medium body, good carbonation.

A: The beer pours a clear golden orange color with a finger of white head and some spotty lacing. S: A big hop aroma to start this one off. Lots of citrus and pine to go with a bit of grass. The grapefruit notes are really nice on this one and there is just a little bit of tropical fruit in there. I don’t really get any malt at all. T: While there is a pretty solid hop flavor, this beer is overly bitter. There is tons of pine along with some fleshy grapefruit and grapefruit rind. The finish has a lasting and intense bitterness. I don’t get any malt on the palate either. M: The body is medium with a moderate carbonation. D: The nose was really nice, but this beer was just too damn bitter. It would be nice to have a higher hop flavor to bitterness ratio.

Light amber color. Massively dry hopped, piney. Very over the top hoppy nose. No body just hops but very light. Light bitter finish. Fun beer, but not something I would drink all the time.
