jimrockford (49), San Diego, California, USA Jun 9, 2006 Aroma: Very hoppy citrus and slight spice
Appearance: Perfectly clear and nice head
Flavor: Great bitterness and perfect malt balance for an APA
Palate: great rich mouthfeel
Overall: Perfect example of an APA can’t get much better anaheim1983 (111), Anaheim, California, USA Apr 21, 2006 Very very hoppy pale nose and flavor very very bitter. NICE THOUGH???? I liked it but it did not seem to be a Sierra or any other malt balance pale...not that it claims to be nor do I think they want it to be. It could be its own style San Diego Pale??? Try it you’ll like it. chargerfanjess (116), San Diego, California, USA Mar 21, 2006 Copper gold color low head very very hoppy aroma hoppy flavor with nice malty balance. I would say its closer to an IPA. Very very good beer. Perfect for San Diego doubleo (765), San Diego, California, USA Apr 21, 2008 On-tap at PP C’Bad. Pours an orangish amber color with a thin white head, some lace. Smells perfectly balanced between the hops and malts. Taste is awesome, hoppy but not quite an IPA, nice and bitter. Plenty of earthy, sweet malts on the finish to back up all the hops. It’s like SNPA but with more character and depth. Medium body, good active carbonation. Awesome beer.
