hazy amber pour. pretty darn close to being an IPA rather than an APA. lots of hops. alexanderj (1239), San Diego, California, USA May 9, 2007 On tap at San Clemente; poured an orange tinged amber; Aroma was very hoppy; citrus and some malt as well. Flavor was much of the same. A very hoppy Pale Ale. Medium body. Toasted malt, tried to balance out the hops; but the hops were still the dominant force. A good hoppy version of the style. hophead75 (1667), Boonton, New Jersey, USA Oct 1, 2006 GABF 06. Aroma is mostly of fresh hops. Taste is citrus, with a nice bitterness and enough malt to keep it from being one dimensional. elnadeau (786), Laguna Niguel, California, USA Aug 28, 2006 Tap at Pizza Port San Clemente. Cloudy orange-amber color, malt but mostly hops to my nose. A llively citrus hops experience backed up by toasty bready malt. Very fresh, perhaps a bit too young as served to me, I would love to have this after it was conditioned for a couple of months. BeerPrince (1701), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada May 16, 2006 Hazy golden orangey colour with a nice dense head with lasting foam. Aroma kicked off with citrus hops but the malts are also quite noticeable. Flavour is well rounded and smooth with a clean slightly hop finish.
