wetherel (1151), Encinitas, California, USA Sep 10, 2008 On tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Another beer in my quest to try many different Pilseners. Nice looking, big fluffy white head of small bubbles. Light yellow color. Mild Saaz hop aroma. A nice bit of yeasty aroma. Super highly drinkable. Better than Pescadero pils. Not sweet or dry. No off flavors. Very good.
alexanderj (1428), San Diego, California, USA Sep 8, 2008 Sample at PP Carlsbad; poured a clar, pale yellow with a white head. Aroma was very light with some bread and fruit. Flavor was very "English" for me, with some fruit, breadiness and grassy hops. Not great for the style. hopscotch (4679), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Sep 1, 2008 Draft... RBSG... Clear yellow lager with a small, creamy, white head that lasts forever. Spicy, herbal hop aroma with a slightly lesser note of pilsner malt. Medium-bodied and lightly creamy with gentle carbonation. The flavor is a bit grainy and biscuity and has a really nice, bitter hop kick... as it should. Mid-length, crisp, moderately bitter finish. mgumby10 (1651), West Palm Beach, Florida, USA Aug 31, 2008 Pours a crystal clear straw gold with a light white head. Smells of subtle fruits, grassy notes, and a little grain. Not a bad nose. The flavor is a little grainy, but had a decent malt and citrus prsence to give it some character. Not a bad drinking pils at all. Fairly simple and easy drinking, but thats what I was expecting here. Decent. DA (2586), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Aug 16, 2008 RBSG 2008. Nice gold pour with a small white head. Grassy nose, but not as crisp on the palate as I prefer. A touch overly grainy and sweet.
