Tap at Solana Beach. Clear, deep maroon pour. Wispy tan lacing. Nose brings mild coconut and Nutella. Taste is fairly rich hazelnut, chocolate, coffee. Very yummy brown ale though porter may be a stretch.

On tap @ Solana Beach brewpub. dark copper red, thickly lacing head. Rich, rich roast, burnt malt, creosote, hints of dark fruits, ashy bitter piney finish. Delicious!

The beer is black with a khaki head. Nose of roasted malt, coffee, and cocoa powder with a light earthiness to it. Some hints of chalk and a bit of bitter dark chocolate. Flavor is a touch bitter with a fair amount of cocoa and dark chocolate. A touch of chalk along with some earthy hops and a nice roasted malt and coffee flavor. Only a mild sweetness to it.

Draft @ Pizza Port Solana Beach, Solana Beach, CA. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate flavor with hints of coffee. Has a roasted malty chocolate and coffee finish.

From tap at Solana. Pours hazy dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is dark malty, toasted caramel.Light bitter and breadish. Dry roasted malty finish, light chocolate note.
