Draught at the brewpub. Clear amber. Aroma of lychee and crystal malt. Sweet with clean mouthfeel. Powerful hops to the pint where it almost turns inky. There’s notes of vegetables and lingering heavy bitterness. Somewhat unbalanced and with too hard mouthfeel.

Can, at What’s Brewing. It’s a lightly hazy golden colored beer with a finger-thick white head leaving lacings. The aroma has citrus peel, pine cones and a touch of pale malts. It’s very fruity and fresh. There’s a light bitterness on the palate, it’s dry and with a nice carbonation level. Pine cones, citrus peel and a little malty note too. Lasting bitter and fruity finish. A gorgeous thirst quencher, tasteful and extremely moreish. Certainly something for other brewers to aim for. 141031

UPDATED: MAR 14, 2015 Can shared at RBWG 2014 Late Night tasting - Asheville. Very tasty stuff. Great balance. Plenty of dank hops in here, some grapefruit. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Pithy citrus hop finish, moderate balancing pale malt sweetness. Solid. (February 2014, score: 3.9)

Draft at Pizza Port Solana Beach. Pours clear yellow with a light white cream topping. Big pithy grapefruit and other citrus aroma. Light sweet flavor with sturdy citrus character, light bitterness, some rind, grapefruit, light lemon. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Can at The Rover, Göteborg. Hazy pale yellow/golden beer with a rich lasting offwhite head. Hoppy citrus aroma, hay, earthy notes, pine, some grapes. Hoppy citrus flavor, pine, mango, oranges, grapes, peach notes, grassy, some berries. Quite nice, but probably better fresh on tap.

Keg at PP Carlsbad, 21/04/14. Clear pale golden with a moderate off white swirl and edgeing. Nose is lemon rind, floral hop tones, light grapefruit, orange pith. Taste comprises citric zing, lemon peel, straw, mandarin, toasted malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with subtle hop bitterness. Decent enough SIPA.

Pours gold with a foamy white head. Aroma seems a bit dank. Med body - but a lot of that leaves when the carb leaves. Starts with a bite. Sort of dank with underlying citrus. Really grabs the mouth. Could be earthy tho. There’s a very strong bitter flavor in this beer. Doesn’t quit, even tho it clearly is rather light, malt wise. Nice.
