omhper (10145), Stockholm, Sweden May 4, 2007 Updated: Jun 26, 2007Hand bottled, thanks cquiroga! Clear golden. Concentrated hop aroma of sweaty lychees. Sweet with some solid biscuit malt underneath an abundance of perfumy aromatic soapy lychee-like hops. Lingering very bitter finish. The hops are almost assaulting, but in a pleasant way. After some initial hesitation I give in and just love this beer. Oakes (6808), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 13, 2008 Golden-bronze. Pear and orange nose with some wood. Pretty amarilloey with quite a bit of sweetness, notes of brown sugar, dalandan soda, that sort of thing. kp (6000), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Name: Poor Man’s IPA

hazy amber, wipsy white head, lots of lace, sweet pine and citrus aroma, sticky grapefruit flavor, tongue scraping bitter finish, pretty drinkable for an over the top beer

yespr (6000), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 6, 2008 From tap at San Clemente. Pours golden orange, clear, and with a lacing white head. Light peach fruity hops aroma. Flavour is solid grapefruit and pineneedle hops flavoured. A slight bit too much with a too vague malt presence to counterbalance this. CaptainCougar (4608), Rockville, Maryland, USA Apr 15, 2007 On tap at PP Carlsbad on 12/1/06: Pours a clear bright golden bronze with a thin, nicely-lacing off-white head. Sweet, lightly toasty pale malty aroma has a good piny grapefruity hoppy aroma. Body starts cold but sweet with a touch of biting carbonation and plenty of fresh piny resiny hops and a smooth, mild caramel bittersweet finish. A nice double IPA.
