Beautiful bight orange-gold color with a fine white lasting head. Strong citrus, resinous orange hop aroma with some woodsy pine notes that comes across as almost syurpy. Pronounced resinous bitterness that coats your tongue and lasts is supported by a well-integrated malt profile that includes a bit of reserved sweetness. Multi-dimensional fresh hops flavors are relentless and highly pleasurable along with its strong, alcohol-driven (8.5%), thick, well-balanced body. Amazing stuff.

Lot of floral characters throughout this. A good floral aroma dn first bite. The hops are showing strong at the very end. Great.

Cask at The Linkery, San Diego. Pale orange cloudy beer. Aroma is huge and is full of dank wet piny hops. Sweet fruitiness and juiciness also hold up the rear, showing apricot, peach, pear and mango over a soft lean pale malt base. The texture is very soft allowing the hoppiness to completely wash over the palate, unobstructed by heavy carbonation. Sweet fruity hops, some wet leafiness with a touch of soft sweetness and even a bit of wheaty character. On the finish the sweet interplay of pale malt and tropical hops gives way to a moderate bitter character. A great IIPA.

Alpha King Competition 2006: Poured a golden amber color. The aroma was big on the hops and smelled so fresh. Big on the citrus and pine with grapefruit and orange components. Malty and hoppy flavor mixed nicely together. Citrus notes ran the full length of the beer. There was great balance to this beer. It was one of my favorites of the competition.

Very citrusy ,piney hop aroma, taste features the entire gamut of hop flavorscitrus floral and grainey, spectacular hop fireworks show, malt simply for backup,,very satisfying bitter finish, not enough malt presence to be ranked among the best, but a real hopheads delight . Hand bottled and shipped to perfection by Awaisanen
