COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
One of the many dark beers we serve on our Nitrogen handle which causes the beer to cascade in the glass. It's thick, rich dark and smooth. Brewed in Solana Beach with an imported Pale Chocolate malt, this ale is almost as much fun to watch as it is to drink. Great Western Premium Two Row, 95-115L Crystal Malt, Chocolate and Pale Chocolate. It is hopped with First Gold, Galena, and Cascade. It is served unfiltered with an OG of 1.058 and 5.6% ABV. Proprietary Ale Yeast. Nitrogenated.

Tap at PP Bressi Ranch. Nitro, deep red brown pour with good nitro lace. Nose is muted, some odd dairy. Taste is chalky, milk chocolate. Pretty bland overall.

On tap at Port Solana. Pours dark brown/black with a medium sized, offwhite head and good lace. Smells roasty overall with some sweet malts and pretty watery. Tastes the same roasty and watery overall with a bit of dark chocolate and chalk. Thin, watery body with good carbonation.

On nitro draft at Solana Beach Pizza Port. Dark brown with lots of bubbles from the nitro. Toasted flavor with some hop taste. Flavor and the nitro pouring beauty are this beer’s strengths.

On tap at Solana Beach. Deep brown, tannic acid colored pour with a thick layer of cream beige nitrogenated head. Innocent aroma of slightly sour Guinness water, a touch of cream, and a dash of maple woodiness. Rich, medium-full bodied mouthfeel with the trademark nitrogenated creaminess. Fairly typical porter flavors of dark malts combined with a light beechwood dryness. Very malty, lightly dry creamy porter with subtle hints of chocolate. Typical creamy porter.

Aroma of roast chocolate, but not prominent enough. Appears a dark mahogany with a huge head. Flavor is roasty with some light residual sweetness. Palate is creamy but with a light palate. Overall, just a bit less than the sum of its parts.

On Tap, Solana Beach. Dark color, with a super creamy tan head. First taste is fairly malty, with hints of chocolate and coffee. Kind of watery, with a mouthfeel of many british stouts. Very little carbonation. Good, but not up to par with many of PP’s other beers.

On tap at Solana Beach. Pours a dark brown with a nice white head. Aroma is dominated by roasted malts, chocolatey, and a bit sweet. Body is a bit light for a porter, flavor was a nice blend of sweetness and roasted malts.
