Off the cask @ O’Brien’s Wet Hop Festival 2K7. One of my favorite fresh hopped ales of the evening. Just too fresh for my stale words to reflect. Pungent, hoppy and sticky... like a sack of weed. Went down smooth and would have gotten me all fuckered up if I weren’t trying out that "responsibility" witchcraft nonsense.

Cask @ O’briens Wet Hop festival. The best beer of the night (and we had several). Super fresh, hoppy aroma. Flavor was all hops and that’s exactly what I wanted.

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2009 On tap @ San Clemente. Clear golden amber with a one finger off-white head, good retention. Lots of floral hops in the nose with some citrus and sweet caramel behind. The flavor is a lot like eating flowers--maybe roses and lavender? I didn’t get near that kind of "floralness" from the aroma. Reminds me of hitting the Surly hookah @ the Great Taste (rose tobacco). Wow. Semi-dry with bitterness @ a 5. Light to moderate carbonation with a medium-light body. Best wet hopped beer I’ve had, and quite unique--I must find out what hops they used. Update--they used 100% Centennial hops. Makes sense to me because the hops do remind me of super fresh Two Hearted. Update--had this a week later and the hops turned very earthy and had lost a lot of the perfumey floral notes that I had so loved. Not changing the score, though!

Light gold pour. Spicy, earthy hops, citrus. Flavor is nice and bitter, juicy citrus, just enough malt bill. Hell yeah.

Awesome brew. Pours lightly hazy amber with a medium sized white head with lots of lace. Smells sweet and hoppy. Musty with some earth, but clean and good. Tastes very nice. Smooth and sweet hoppy. Earthy with lots of caramel sweetness. Medium body, smooth carbonation.

On draft at O’Briens wet hop festival. Hazy medium amber with golden highlights and a small off-white head that occurs more fizzy than creamy. Ripe fruits and subtle caramel malts in the aroma, along with lively fresh hop character featuring spruce and tart floral notes. Brash fresh hop flavor as well, hugely tart and bitter with citrus and pine prominent along with earthy herbal notes and a hing of maple and brown rice syrup. Medium body, crispy carbonation. This is a hopheads delight!

On tap at PP San Clemente. Nice white head with light citrus and hops aromas. Clean hop bitterness with fresh floral accents. Pleasant on the palate. Fine IPA.
