This is really tasty. Lots of spices. Definitely strong; doesn’t hide the alcohol at all. Crisp and spicy. This goes back and forth between being really good and needing to mask the strength better.

Tap at pizza port san clemente. Pours a hazy golden color with a 1 inch white head. Aroma is pear, banana, bubblegum and clove. Flavor is tons of fruit, spicy with bubblegum. Dry and dominated by belgian yeast. Medium bodied and moderately carbonated.

On draft at 3 Floyds. Pours a clear champagne cola color with a thick and overflowing off white head. Aroma of bubble gum, cloves and banana. Taste is much the same as the aroma.

Pours hazy golden yellow with a thin white head and good lace. Smells kinda funky a little like butt with some sweet cereal malts as well. Tastes spicy and malty, coriander really comes through. Sweetness with spice overall. Medium body, good carbonation.

On tap. Pours with a hazy golden body and a lasting white head. Aroma of coriander, belgian phenolics, candi sugar, orange zest and rye. Flavors are extremely estery, with huge note of orange, candi sugar, caramel. Finishes dry with a good amount of alcohol. Citrus in the finish. Lively, notes of rye. Spicy yeast finish.

A hazy golden pour with a tall white head. Very strong coriander scent to this beer. Tons of banana, citrus peel, and sweet malt. A light herbal quality, some sugar, and yeast. Tastes of coriander, banana, orange, and sugar for the most part. A nice yeast character, plenty of pear and apple esters, and a slight pepper note.

tmoreau (2380) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - MAY 6, 2014
Shared competition bomber that was brought out of the cellar, and poured to snifters, showing a cloudy, orangey gold color, with a modest layer of white head foam, and light waves & spots of lacing. The nose was subtle tartness, light spice, citrus, & stone fruit. The taste was similar, with a more evident, candy sweetness, rather hidden alcohol, and good carbonation, all in a medium body. Rather tasty, and cellared quite well considering a 4 year nap.

MoDog (927) - Griffith, Indiana, USA - AUG 1, 2009
On tap at Three Floyds, served in a tulip. Golden orange pour with a two-finger thick head of light beige foam that hung around a bit and produced some chunky lacing. The aroma had honey, citrus, toasted caramel, and also some spicy yeast esters. The flavor was lightly spicy and had strong notes of orange and honey. Lightly warming. The mouthfeel was medium to full-bodied and had light, soft carbonation. Decent, well made tripel.
