Sample at the brewpub. The beer pours black with a medium creamy tan head that recedes slowly to a dense film. Rings of lacing. Roasty aroma of malt and coffee. Light to medium body with a roasted malt character and notes of coffee and dark chocolate. The finish is dry with a short malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

From tap at the OB location. Pours hazy dark brown to lack with a small tan and creamy head. Aroma is roasted dark malty. Light fruity note. Mild tarish, dense malty yet not overly roasted. Smooth malty finish.

(Draught) Pours an opaque black body with a medium creamy beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted grain, raisins, and minerals. Flavor of roasted grain, caramel, chocolate, and coffee with a dry finish.

Tap @ Pizza Port, Ocean Beach. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are caramel, nuts, toasted malt and hops. Easy drinkable and slightly watery.

Draft at PP ocean beach with Linh. Pours a black body with thick creamy tan one finger lacing/ head. Aroma is burnt malts and coffee roast. Mouthfeel is creamy but light with notes of watery coffee, toasted chocolate malts, milk, and roast.

Nearly black, creamy nitro head. Coffee, roast and cocoa aroma. Dry and toasty with great notes of chocolate and espresso.

A: The pour is nearly black in color with a finger of creamy, dense, tan head.
S: Smells of coffee and roasted malts with some bitter dark chocolate character, too. A touch of earthy hop character. Just a hint of sweetness, sort of like molasses.
T: The flavor is definitely watery, more so than I often find with other nitro beers. The same coffee, roasted malt, and dark chocolate flavors are there, but the intensity is not.
M: Thin bodied with the typical nitro carbonation.
O: Far too watery tasting and too thin on the tongue. Could have been better with a bit more body.

Had this one at Downtown Johnny Browns a few weeks back. It was a nice stout that had some creaminess, chocolate, and a thin mouth feel. Pretty good though.
