3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20draft at PP San Clemente. cola brown and clear with a small off-white head. nose is pleasantly nutty and toasty and flavor is semi-sweet mild crushed grains and toasted nuts with mild noble hop herbaceousness. crunchy / husky texture is moderately harsh and the low carbonation and low hop rate are made up for by moderate acid levels to give it decent good support. nothing mindblowing here, but it’s certifiably sessionable.

Dark mahogany reddish brown with a creamy, nougat coloured head. The aroma holds chocolate roast, nuts, dark bread, caramel,almond smelling glue, sweet liquorice, blueberry/blackberry candy and light earthy hops. The flavour is light sweet, light bitter and tiny acidic with notes of mild roast, nuts, soft caramel, dark bread, light fruits, touch of yeast and a whisper of hops. The mouthfeel is watery and light crisp with a medium carbonation. Earthy malt and light berry-like finish. Light bodied.

Chopp. This version said 4,6%. Deep dark brown hazy colour, beige small Roasty malty caramel chocolate aroma. Good soft mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet like with roasty like maltiness and caramel along with some chocolate and some dark fruit. Nice.

From tap at San Clemente. Pours hazy dark brown with a deep amber glare and a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dakr malty, chocolate and roasted. Bitter, dark malty and breadish. Light liqurice note.
