On tap at Provisions. Pours clear copper with light white head. Aroma of fresh hops, citrus and alfalfa. Flavor mirrors aroma only slightly toned down. A bit light for an IPA but good non the less.

On tap at Beachwood BBQ. It has a golden orange color with a nice head. The aroma was floral with some mild hops. Taste has some citrus but not too much and some herbs. Does not have the usual IPA bite but I did enjoy it. Good finish.

2012 pour from San Clemente. (Happy Birthday Casey! Thanks for the 3 hour lunch) Pours a clear golden with slight white head. Aroma is grapefruit and some pineapple. Taste is the typical San Clemente PP IPA dirt/earth taste just taken to a more resin level. Much better than a lot of their standard IPAs but still not the best. Must be the water.

Light gold pour. Spicy, earthy hops, citrus. Flavor is nice and bitter, juicy citrus, just enough malt bill. Hell yeah.

Tap. Dark amber with a hint of copper. Minimal head. Restrained hop scent on a bed of malt. Big body and a noticeable alcohol note. Some would even call it a double IPA. Caramel in the middle with a stickiness and then citrus grows in the back end.

Draft. A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops, caramel, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of citrusy hops, malt, and caramel, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

Pizza Port San Clemente Edition. On tap at The Brickskeller during its "Whet" Hop Ales event with Tomme Arthur. Pours dark copper with a white head and bits of lace. The nose is light bread some some minor scents coming from some floral and pine hops. We were told that this used Centennial and Simcoe hops. The taste is some light citrus and pine notes along with some mild Maris Otter malt underneath. Pretty bitter and a medium body. This was quite as good as the rest of the bunch. A: The pour is a surprisingly cloudy copper color with a thin layer of off-white head. S: A lackluster nose is obvious right off the bat. Very minimal hop aroma to the beer and what is there is sort of sweet with a little bit of orange peel, grass, and floral notes. Overall, though, this is mostly bread. T: Second verse, same as the first. Bready malts with a decent enough bitterness, but no real hop flavor. Again, some citrus peel and maybe a touch of grapefruit and pine. M: The body is medium with a fairly lively carbonation to it. D: A true disappointment, especially for a Pizza Port IPA. I can’t recommend this one.

Awesome brew. Pours lightly hazy amber with a medium sized white head with lots of lace. Smells sweet and hoppy. Musty with some earth, but clean and good. Tastes very nice. Smooth and sweet hoppy. Earthy with lots of caramel sweetness. Medium body, smooth carbonation.
