On tap at San Clemente on 12/3/06: Pours a hazy pale golden with a thin, wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of sweet pale malt and a touch of grainy wheat with some German yeast. Body starts sweet and wheaty with good carbonation and some mild banana and bready yeasty flavor. Very authentic and incredibly drinkable.

On tap at the brewpub in San Clemente. Pours a very hazy, darker orange body with a small, fluffy white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a good amount of soft lacing. Very full and sweet aroma of wheat, bananas, bubble gum, zesty lemons and oranges, and yeast. Lots of spices too giving it even more of a zing. Flavor is similar. Lots of banana and spices with a zesty citrus. Finishes malty, but spicy at the same time. Full bodied, creamy, and very smooth before a subtle dry finish. Overall, a very impressive wheat. Quite tasty.

Flavor is initially sweet but well equipped with a full profile of spices clove, banana and lemon zest. Good stuff and I would definitely get a pitcher in the near future.

If this is unfiltered, I'm Samuel Adams. This beer poured as clear as a Mountain Dew. Whatever. Not that yeasty, though I'd say it's part German hefe and part American Wheat based on the taste. Fairly flavorful, but I'm still miffed it's a Kristal wheat.
