Commercial Description:
Is it really safe to paddle out in our waters? It’s impossible to know for sure. What we do know is that this is an incredibly distinctive and bold American red ale that attacks your taste buds with lethal amounts of hops, which are balanced by a boat load of Crystal malt. If none of this fazes you, then maybe swimming in the shark filled waters is exactly where you belong. We’ll see you in the lineup!

Flaske: Virkelig fantastisk duft af amerikansk humle slår en i møde. Citrus og en del tropisk frugt. Flot rød farve, men smagen er en kende ude af balance. Men stadig en treat.

Another awesome bomber from College Liquors in Grand Junction, Co. Pours a bright and clear reddish color with a thick beige head and lots of lacing. A sweet aroma of caramel, loads of sweet caramel. Some strong hops and alcohol also. The flavor is very nice; a smooth and sweet caramel malt mix, some fresh and sweet citrus hops, a noticeable alcohol presence. Very nice. A nice beer to drink a bomber of.

22 oz bottle. Pours thick and flat. Almost no head. Dark reddish brown and gloppy. I worried that its flat. Gooey oil slick on top. Smells rich. Super sweet malty. Strong. Vanilla and raisins? Sweet on the taste buds. Sharp and malty follows. Licorice. Bitter at the end. Good tasting. Yay, its not flat! Really good, actually.

Bottle. Low but lasting creamy off-white head. Muddy looking orange to red body. Caramel plum raisin aroma with heavy hops notes. Strong and hoppoy flavor with hints of pepper caramel and plums plus alcohol. Long and bitter aftertaste with little carbonation.

Bottle. Poured a dark reddish brown with a smallish off white head. Aroma of chewy caramel, fruit, citrus, earth. Slightly sweet. Pretty good aroma. Flavor was pretty good, but I do not usually love these types of American Strong Ales. Caramel, fruity malt dominates with a moderate hopping; citrus and earthy. Palate was above average; had hint of chewiness and coating, with a nice long lingering. Above average for the style.

Bottle: Surprised this was not in the data base yet, got it in San Diego in Keg & Bottle #2. Half way between red ale and IPA, nice balance, hoppy and fruity-sweet.

Hazy deep red pour with nice lacing on the glass. Smooth bubbly light tan head. Lots of grapefruit and peach on the nose. Very fruity. Lots of malt to balance with caramel and maple syrup. Smells almost like a barley wine. Thick malt flavor. Creamy and fruity, dominated by caramel. Dissolves into a citrusy hop finish. Spicy notes as well. Bitter with some lasting alcohol burn on the tongue.
