| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 18, 2008 Poured a deep hazy red/amber with a nice white head. Aroma of fresh hops is what jumped out to first, pine, and some caramel malts. Flavor to me was a bit sweet but was followed up by some nice hops. I liked this one. carl4beer (400), Fairfax Station, Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 17, 2008 22oz. pours a hazy brownish red with very thin head. aroma is carmel malt and a hint of citrus hop. mouthful is like candy apple with a big hops that attack the pallet. has a bit of a flat feel, not much carbonation. ok for PP. hayduke (1637), Eureka, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 13, 2008 From a 22 oz bottle I have no idea why this is called a triple red ale here when the bottle clearly says double red ale. Furthermore no where on this does it say Pizza Port...it says Port Brewing. With that out of the way it poured a copper red color with small off white head and light lacing. Nose is of very rich malts with some floral and pine hops. Rich and creamy mouthfeel. Flavor is heavy on the malts with good hop balance. Slightly bitter finish. Good brew and delightful to drink. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 10, 2008 Intense gobs of pine resin, rich malt. Its massive, mouth-coating, malterific. Almost too big i dare say. the malt does take over a bit. Palate is the same as the nose. big and and flabby to tell the truth. Decent Swolf3 (252), Elkton, Maryland, USA
