Wiseblood (658), Clarksville, Tennessee, USA Sep 16, 2009 Dark, thick amber with a strong fruity hop aroma. Bitter and flowery with a slight sweetness and a bit of caramel. Sour, dry finish. Very strong and hoppy. dm9831 (1167), Monee, Illinois, USA Sep 16, 2009 hazy reddish amber, modest tan, quickly disappearing head, touch of lace. sweet malt and licorice in the nose. creamy caramel flavor, sweet malt, dried fruit. hops not detectable in the flavor. medium bodied, sweet finish. a poor brew. the sweet malt is too much dominant. jsquire (2086), St. Marys, Ohio, USA Sep 12, 2009 Luminous dark copper color with lots of lace over a beige head. Sweet nose with brown sugar, grass and nail polish. Lots of hop with grass and some celery over bread. Some caremel corn and a sweetness that reminded me of sticky buns. Nice, bit beer. Plamadude30k (122), Tucson, Arizona, USA Sep 1, 2009 On tap, 1702 in Tucson. Let me start off by saying, this isn’t my favorite beer ever, but I could still drink it all day long. It pours a burnt orange/red color with minimal head. Contains fruit in abundance, mostly lighter fruits (cherries, etc.) joined by hops in the background. The alcohol is certainly present as well. Bov (5403), Bienne, Switzerland Aug 20, 2009 from crackedkettle.com - fully cloudy dark reddish in colour and with a bad head retention; robust aroma of prune and strawberries marmalade with a strong alcohol and hop presence; full-bodied and quite sticky, very strong bitterness which dominates a long fruity (strawberries and cherries) and very dry finish; a fair warming alcohol touch gives a nice conclusion to this beautiful brew cgarvieuk (4159), Edinburgh, Scotland Aug 19, 2009 Bottle at Cropredy ... red brown ... deep malt toffee nose .. big pine hop background ... over rich ... some molasis ... soft toffee ... little of the red ale spicy hop. jeremytoni (1067), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA Aug 17, 2009 From a bottle poured amber with a good amount of head. Nice bitter flavor with a lasting aftertaste. tarheels86 (700), Washington DC, USA Aug 16, 2009 650 mL from Southbay Drugs. Pours a cloudy deep red, almost dark brown with a two-finger tan head. Leaves some decent lacing. Aroma is strawberry cheesecake, massive resiny hops. Taste is similar with some dark chocolate in addition. Nice piney hop balancing resulting in a strong, creamy, strawberry themed DIPA. Yum.
