Pours out a dark red color without much of a head, then out of no where it kind of gets a nice tan little head on it. Smell is full of hops, caramel, malts, sugars, grass, and a touch of citrus. Taste is similar, but it has alot of hops - very Pizza Port like, smooth yet brutal but that is what makes it good. Not as bitter as I thought it would be, but it is plenty bitter to satisfy hop heads. Really good stuff, and actually my glass went so quick, I had no idea what happened. Nice taste is mildly sweet caramel malts with leafy hop resin. Has a nicely bitter finish. Not too bad, but gimme an IPA please. dalekliz (546), San Diego, California, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 13, 2008 Bottle. Pours orange red with delicate lighter red hues. Flavor is hoppy, pine, malty, woddy, and sweet. Finish is strongly hopped with little detectable etoh masked by the strong hop character. Oakes (8080), gone rambling, Vietnam
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 11, 2008 Draught, Lost Abbey Orangey-red colour. Chewy crystal malt with woody hop notes. Chewy with lots of bitterness. Sweet finish. Fairly typical for the style. Nice woody hop notes. It’s ok, never was my style. Ibrew2or3 (2724), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 11, 2008 Pours clear amber with tan head. The mild aroma has notes of roasty to crystal malts and pine hops. The taste is much the same with rich roasted malts mixing with late addition to the boil pine hop flavor and full boil pine hop bitterness. Midway the malts well up for a moment and steal away the flavor from the hops. Into the finish and after taste the hops grow and leave a lingering pine hop bitterness. Delicious mix of flavors. badgerben (3592), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 9, 2008 Thanks to Stine for sharing. Reddish color with a thin head. Very hoppy aroma and a strong caramel presence. Not surprisingly, the citrus hops crush the flavor. Lots of grassy and fresh hop taste. Caramel malt. Delicous.
