Commercial Description:
Is it really safe to paddle out in our waters? It’s impossible to know for sure. What we do know is that this is an incredibly distinctive and bold American red ale that attacks your taste buds with lethal amounts of hops, which are balanced by a boat load of Crystal malt. If none of this fazes you, then maybe swimming in the shark filled waters is exactly where you belong. We’ll see you in the lineup!

Bottled 650ml. Courtesy of badlizard. Appearance: It pours a hazy ruby brown beer with a small beige head. Good lacework. Aroma: Hop resin, raisins, lychee, nutmeg, cherry, oak, crystal malt and fennel showing up. Flavor and palate: Subdued bitterness. Hints of nutmeg. Malt accented. Sweet. Fennel in the finish. Overall impression: Dissapointing. Not my style. Thanks a lot badlizard!

(Bottle, Akkurat, Stockholm, 3 April 2009) Reddish amber colour with foamy, beige head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, blood oranges and lots of citrussy, slightly rubbery, hops. Fruity, malty taste with caramel, blood oranges and generous doses of citrussy, piney hops in the finish. More than medium body. Good balance between the generous amounts of hops and a solid crystal malt foundation. Lovely beer.

Bottled. Aroma has a lot of harsh grapefruit/pine hoppiness, some caramel malts. Hazy, orange-redbrown coloured with an off-white, medium sized, lasting head. The taste is very bitter. The bitterness remains for a while.. It has some sweet maltiness and a lot of citrus. Well brewed.

Botella, thanks to Plovmand for sharing. Cloudy dark orange brown colour. Very hoppy caramel piney aroma. Good filling mouthfeel. Bitter very hoppy bit sweet bit fruity and piney flavour. Long lasting dry bitter hoppy finish. Lacks some more frutiness for my taste buds, but still darn good.

Bottle. Hazy red body with a nice creamy off white head. The aroma is caramel, berries, lots of fruit and lots of hops. Complex flavour of sweet malt, fruity hops and barley. Its leads to a fruity tasty finish. The body is smooth and creamy. The alcohol is very well hidden. Great stuff.

port brewery shark attack, double red ale reddish amber brown with a small offwhite head. strong hoppy like if several different kinds of hops were mixed, slightly acidic aroma, also some dark fruits flavor is also very hoppy, sweet malty, very american, very faint dark fruits drowned in hops so only the sweetness shines through.
