Commercial Description:
Is it really safe to paddle out in our waters? It’s impossible to know for sure. What we do know is that this is an incredibly distinctive and bold American red ale that attacks your taste buds with lethal amounts of hops, which are balanced by a boat load of Crystal malt. If none of this fazes you, then maybe swimming in the shark filled waters is exactly where you belong. We’ll see you in the lineup!

From a bottle purchased at Newport Pizza and Ale House--Poured a rich, crisp red body. Hoppy presence. Mildly cloying but freshly gripping and malty. Very worthy monstrously hopped hophead nectar. Bold and a good representation of the double red stylistic. Yum!

Bomber. Pours lightly hazy dark copper with a scant off-white head. Sweet grapefruit and toffee nose, and you’ll find a bit of pine if you dig deep enough. Sweet medium body and moderate carbonation. Toffee and citrus taste that finishes semi-dry, nicely bitter, but somehow crisp at the same time. There’s a bit of alcohol warmth, but not what I’d expect for a beer at nearly 10%.

On tap @ Port Solana. What a BIG beer Kind of a murky, brown with radiant ruby highlights. Head was small and beige in color. Big nose of alcohol, hops, sweet malts and spice. Flavor had a lot more hop presence than was expected.

22 oz. bottle from Plaza Liquors - Pours a deep reddish-amber color with a small 1/2 finger thick light tan head. Lots of tiny spotted lacing. Aroma is sweet malt and floral hops. Flavor is much of the same and is nicely balanced. Medium body. Alcohol is noticeable. A nice ASA.

Copper color with little head. Nice spruce sap hop and caramel malt aroma. Medium body. Nice taste is mildly sweet caramel malts with leafy hop resin. Has a nicely bitter finish. Not too bad, but gimme an IPA please.

Bomber (9.0%) from Bev4Less. Pours a dark amber/ruby color. Very little carbonation. Sweet piney aroma. Some spicy hoppiness. Deep and rich. Smooth low carbonation mouthfeel. Slightly sweet up front. Followed by a rich malty flavor. Finishes with a bit of grapefruit peel bitterness. No alcohol is noticeable. Reminds me of something in the vein of AB, with a low carbonation.

Pours cloudy brown/amber. Aroma / taste is hoppy with light bitterness, (cheese/earthly like yeast presence), lightly malt with some caramel. Was not really impressed by it. Would try again and get a better opinion.
