From cask. Pours hazy amber with a small off white head. Aroma is roasted malty and light fruity. Sweet, toasted and caramelish. Breadish and toffee. Bitter and dry hoppy into a smooth roasted malty finish.

"more lively than the port double red (this says triple). fruity sweetness and ample bitterness from the hopping. a very nice ale that is somewhere between a red, strong ale, and dipa."

Gravity cask at GBBF 2014, 12/08/14. Pours an amber/ruby colour. Toffee aroma. Medium body, light carbonation. Sticky dark fruit, woody resin, toast, booze, light sherry, a bitter lemon. Bitter sweet. Nice balance. Tasty.

At GBBF 2014. Clear dark red amber colour lasting beige head. Sweetish. Grapefruit. Lovely. light caramel flavour and aroma. Big full lovely. hides abv well.

>> Clear deep amber red pour. Nice tan foam with great lacing. Nose is maple glaze, fresh oranges. In taste: rich maple with decent piney and nutty Sierra Nevada Celebration style hop bite that isn’t too aggressive or astringent like many imperial red IPAs. Instead the palate is fairly juicy, spicy. Not too boozy, powerfully hoppy but not astringent. Would be too much for a full pour I’m afraid but definitely makes good of a usually hated style on my part.
