Our Signature beer. Brewed to the same recipe in all locations. A very robust Red ale made with Centennial and Cascade hops which lend a spicy finish to the beer. We have brewed more Sharkbite Red ale than any other beer on our menu. Alcohol Varies.

Draft. A deep red beer with a huge tan head. The aroma has strong notes of grapefruit and hops, combined with medium notes malt, spices, and fruit. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of hops, and medium notes of malt, caramel, biscuits, and grapefruit, leading to a very bitter finish.

Had at Pizza Port-OB. Pours a deep amber with a small white head and decent lacing. Smells strongly of caramel malts with very little hop presence in the aroma. Tastes of caramel similar to the smell, but a stronger hop presence in the taste. Bitter earthy hops up front rounding into caramel notes finishing with a good lingering bitterness. Mouthfeel is med-hi with a bit of stickiness to it. Iím slowly realizing hoppy reds are my favorite. Port Brewing has another winner.

Bottle. Ridiculously over carbed. Jan 13 bottling. Malty at this point. A shelf lingerer.

On tap at the brewpub. An amber colored beer with a small off-white head. Caramel and some pine cones and lemon peel in the aroma, the flavor pretty much the same. A good bitterness too in the flavor of course. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Mostly bitter finish. Quite decent this one, but didnít ring any of my bells. 130813

On tap @ Pizza Port Bressi Ranch. Pours dark copper amber with medium head that fades to thin quickly. Aroma is sweet slightly roasty caramel malt and just a hint of hoppy spice. Taste is big dark caramel malt, roaster than sweet. Bitter earthy hops on the finish. Outstanding for an amber. Always heard of this beer, canít believe this is the first Iíve had it. Iíll be back for more.

On tap at CBC Clerkenwell during the Pizza Port Tap Takeover - London. Pours clear, red-gold with a fine, creamy head. Sweet and bready with a good dose of toffee, brown bread, some ripe citrus. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Fairly resinous to finish, with toasty bread, some fruity tones. Good balance, nice toffee notes. I like it.
