can8ianben (670), Pasadena, California, USA Sep 9, 2008 Well balanced like the Shark Bite Red, but dry hopped to create a smack of wonderful hoppiness. Still a nice smooth mouthfeel and a syrupy sweet maltiness to offset the hops. Aroma is fresh grapefruit and sweet toffy.
trokini (943), San Diego, California, USA Sep 15, 2008 Pours clear copper with a short head and nice lacing. Sharp, citrus hop aroma with earthy malt. Great bitter taste. Resin flavor without the stickiness, but with more caramel malt than expected. The malt seems to temper its herbal bitterness without getting sweet. Good beer. doubleo (966), San Diego, California, USA Sep 6, 2008 On-tap at PP SB. Pours cloudy, dark red/brown with a thin, crisp head, good lace. Smells slight red fruity hoppy like regular Sharkbite but with a bit more hop bitterness, earthy as well. Taste is sweet hoppy, red fruity but with a lot of earthy hop flavor as well. More bitter than it is bitter sweet. Good brew. Medium body, good carbonation. badlizard (1568), San Diego, California, USA Apr 13, 2008 On tap at brewery. Copper brown/red with a tan head. Citrus hops aroma, crisp caramel malt and a nice herbal hoppy taste. alafito (331), tijuana, Mexico Apr 12, 2008 This is very difrent than the bottled version which is an Imperial Red, this amber red is smooth and caramely with a nice hop precence. Its light and well carbonated. For me its the best pairing brew to there great pies.
