COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This brown, or dark mild, is a favorite of the brewer. Lots of malt character but no extra sweetness makes this a flavorful brew. Using Marris Otter as the base malt and all English hops make this a true to style brown.
2011 GABF Gold Medal winner for English-Style Mild Ale.

A: The pour is almost brown, perhaps dark amber, with a nice khaki head on it. S: Sweet and bready malts lead the way with a nice toasted malt aroma. There’s a hint of nuttiness and sweet milk chocolate. Though it is sweet, there is only a subtle toffee and caramel aroma. T: Heavy on the toasted malts with a slight nuttiness. Sweet toffee undertones as well as a little bit of caramel. Lots of bread flavor with a mild roast flavor. M: Medium in body with a smooth, medium carbonation. O: Was expecting more of an English brown ale, but was pleasantly surprised to get a mild. Nice smooth flavors that are pleasant and easy to enjoy.

>> I’m shocked that there are three other entries for "Skid Mark Brown." Big foam. Clear amber/ light brown pour. Huge lace. Nose is apple pie, sweet strawberry. Taste is suddy, little bitterness, small strawberry and apple. Drinkable, bland though. Not hoppy, soda body.
