WA Cask Beer Fest ’06. Pours somewhat amber with a small white head. Citrus aroma. Big lemon taste. Bitter as can be. Not overly in mix with any malt backing but truly awesome regardless.

Hazy golden coloured body with a frothy white head. Aroma of pure hops - very nice. Medium-bodied; Plentiful hoppy tastes up front with grapefruits, oranges and pine noticeable. Strong malt backbone behind the beer comes across very nicely. Aftertaste has a lot of character and most of it is the hops - which is very nice for this beer! Overall, a nice beer - worth trying if you can find it...especially on the east coast! I sampled this beer on draught at RFD in Washington D.C. on 15 December 2006.

On draft at O’Briens Wet Hop Festival. Clear medium amber color with a creamy off-white head and some lacing. Nice aroma, fruity malts with some toastiness, along with ample citrus and lightly piney hops. Bold puckering flavor, predominantly hoppy, citrus and evergreen along with subtle toasty notes and a grapefruit pulp finish. Medium body and tingly carbonation in the mouthfeel. Nice treat.

Must be a pretty new beer as only 7 people have had this. Was lucky enough to get this on tap at RFD in Washington DC. Very dry beer, all hops. Very tart, with pineapple and dry pine cones and needles. Body is dark golden, with a cream head. Nice IPA, a little one dimensional however. At least its different and NOT overly sweet like many other versions of this style.

On tap at PP Carlsbad. Small head, microbubble ring around the edge of the glass. Light clear amber color. Ligh hop aroma, but stronger hop bitterness. Easy to drink and great with pizza.

Tap at PP Carlsbad: Amber hue with a lasting frothy head and very good lace. The aroma has notes of piney and grassy hop, a slight pineapple and grapefruity esters, hint of hop spice and some bready notes. The taste is a straight forward hop bitterness with notes of citrus and spice. The malt is mild and acts to provide some balance. The mouth feel is crisp and refreshing, easy to drink. A solid well made IPA.

Tap @ Toronado. A brownish golden color with a laced white head. A medium body but intensely bitter on the palate with a fresh hop finish. Liquid hops. A hint of burnt toast in the flavor.

On tap, Downtown Johnny Brown’s. Found this rating on a crumpled up napkin stuffed in my carry on bag after I finally unpacked 2+ weeks after I returned home from SD. Poured a hazy dark copper under a small creamy off-white head. Aroma is lightly floral and citric, with some light pale malts. Pretty well balanced aroma. Flavor is nicely citrusy, hefty bready maltiness with light grainy crystal malt. Long lingering moderately bitter finish. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with moderate fizzy carbonation. Slight resiny stickiness on the finish. Overall, a nice hefty APA or lighter IPA. Not exciting, bu enjoyable.
