This is really nice. Better than the Night Rider in my opinion. Smooth enough, with just the right balance of hops throughout. An excellent brew.

On cask at O’Brien’s. Very roasty aromas with some chocolate of this very dark beer. Cask made the bubbles very tight and creamy. More chocolate and roasty toasty flavors too. Pretty tasty.

GABF 2006. The beer pours to a pitch black body with a brown head. The aroma is dry and roasty semi-sweet chocolate chips. The flavor is rich and sweet chocolate and noticeable barley. Rich creamy palate.

re-rate 10/28/2007 on tap at Pizza Port San Clemente You definitely want to let this brew open up and you’ll be rewarded with an aroma and flavor of chocolate and maltiness --------------------------------------------- on tap at the stone 11th for an imperial, very tame and mild, not a lot of roastiness, chocolate or coffee, it was a middle of the road session statout

GABF 2006: Very dark ruby amber color with a tan head. Sweet roasted malt aroma with nice notes of chocolate and coffee. Sweet flavor with a good amount of chocolate and roasted malt. Medium bodied.
