COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"It’s hard to believe we’ve been slingin’ pizzas for 20 years since March of 1987! That’s about 7300 days or 175,200 happy hours of fun! We’re excited to celebreate by brewing and bottling up a beer to share a special toast! Swami’s IPA is one of our best selling beers. Many have called it the original San Diego IPA. As such, it’s been a big part of Pizza Port Solana Beach since we installed the brewing system in 1992. A bold IPA hopped to the extreme with galena, Centennial and Cascade hops. We also add a healthy dose of dry hops in the serving tank and always serve it unfiltered. Thank you so much to everyone who has been sharing the memories along the unbelievable way...Cheers!"

Formerly 7.4% when brewed at Solana Beach location.

Translucent, magnifying orangey copper with a thick, café frothed and orange tinted head. Aroma rings with honeydew and lemon grass, freshly cut after a mid-summer rain. It’s timed perfectly for the season. Sweet orange crème toffee crests on the aromatic ridge. Bitter peaches trollop with maple covered grapefruit. Peaches, amaretto and balsa wood interweave. Honeyed marigolds and tinctured carbonation ride a horizontal line across the tongue. A gentle, grassy ridge cuts sweet bitterness to the edge. Thanks for the 750-ml. bottle, tpkenned!

Poured into a taster showing lightly filtered neon yellow with a finger of tanned white foam. The nose shows a lot of cannabis with light hints of pineapple and grapefruit. The palate is well carbonated and full bodied. Very cannabis forward showing off bright citrus notes with some lighter hints of tropical fruit. Moderate to slightly strong IPA bitterness at the finish but overall a clean drinking summer IPA.

On the palate, similar tropical flavours, mild resin, mild pine needle. Medium bodied and extraordinarily balanced. Best single I india pale ale I’ve tasted to date.

Pours a finger of head on a clear lighter straw body. The aroma is a dose of pine with orange and mango in the background. The taste is pine bitterness, orange and grapefruit sweetness. Nicely balanced. The texture is lighter. Nicely done.

Goud blond bier met witte schuimkraag. Lekker frisse citrus geur met ook wat exotische vruchten. Smaak: aangenaam bitter. Bittere, fruitige afdronk.
