Draught at Pizza Port Ocean Beach, San Diego. Very deep brown beer with a decent offwhite/beige head. Malty chocolate aroma, caramel, cocoa powder, roasted, licorice, dark bread, some fruits. Hoppy roasted flavor, cocoa powder, dark chocolate, licorice, roasted, dark bread.

On tap @ Pizza Port Bressi Ranch. Dark brown with a slight haze and an off-white head. Coffee, toasted nuts, and some roasted malt. Mild vanilla and milk chocolate. Slightly earthy. Taste is mildly bitter with some roast and earth flavors. Moderate sweetness of vanilla and toasted bread. Coffee grounds, a lot of nuttiness, and some cocoa. Pretty straightforward brown ale.

This beer has a great cinnamon aroma and flavor. A really well done brown ale. Goes down easy with a really good flavor.

Tap at PPOB. Pours a deeper, murky brown. Excellent lacing. Nose finally opens up to some hazelnut, mild creamed coffee. Taste is similar. Palate is biting, dusty, papery. Nearly identical to the Steve Brown but starts off without the anesthetic hoppy bite.
