3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A: The pour is a slightly hazy yellow/golden color with a mild off-white head.
S: Tons of banana notes fill the nose. The banana is quite sweet, almost sugary, with some nice spice notes in support and a sweet wheat aroma.
T: The flavor is much like the nose. Lots of sweet, overripe bananas and a more balanced dose of clove. The wheat is mild and sort of overpowered by the yeast contributions, but does provide some sweetness.
M: The body is light to medium with a moderate level of carbonation to the beer.
D: Pretty decent American style hefeweizen, but the banana could be a bit much at times (as could the sweetness).

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft... RBSG ‘08... Clear yellow ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. Spicy, fruity nose conveys lots of clove, banana, bubblegum and corn. Medium-bodied with an ultra-creamy mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. Sweet, and big on spicy phenols and fruity esters in both the flavor and the finish.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
My guess is in the low five in alcohol, on-tap at Port Carlsblad. Clear clove and then bannana. It’s yeast and I am in fact allergic to real bannana and did not get a reaction, but it tasted quite bannana. Cloudy with a bit of lace. A different hefe experience for me, and reminds me of the Ontario hometown one.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured clear bright gold with a slight cap of white head. The aroma was sweet with bubblegum and caramel leading.. more banana showed with warmth, and this was just too sweet. The flavor had lots of banana esters and sweetness paired with some Big League Chew.. quite sweet with a pale malt base.. spicy and sweet bubblegummy finish. This wanted to be dry on the palate, but ended up skewed toward sweetness.. finished like candy.
