On tap at Carlsbad. A rich fruity nose with dried candies. The flavor is unusual; bubblegum, loads of huge fruit, dry grains, very mellow and easygoing. Quite nice.

Phone rate. Tap at PP Carlsbad. Muddy white golden with a small white head, fading to a thick ring and tattered film before long. Lots of ripe banana in the nose some wheat, and a little sulfur and vanilla in the back. I get more clove in the flavor than I got in the nose (which was fairly mild), and there’s still lots of banana. Dry finish with a touch of lemon and vanilla, low bitterness. Mod carbonation with a medium body. A little heavy on the banana, but not a bad US offering.

(Draught) Pours a cloudy golden body with a medium cream off-white head. Aroma of wheat, citrus, bubblegum, and banana. Flavor of banana, wheat, citrus, and vanilla.

On tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Pours cloudy golden with a decent off-white head and a light floral aroma. There is a typical wheat flavor with lots of banana ester and a dry carbonated finish. Very refreshing.

Draft at Pizza Port Carlsbad with Linh. Pours a bright cloudy orange body with thick white lacing. Aroma is citrus, clove, and wheat. Mouthfeel is smooth with notes of banana, citrus, clove and wheat.

A fine banana aroma. Looks good. This is surprisingly good. Very reminiscent of the German hefes I had two weeks ago at the source. Plenty of fruit. Nice beer.

A: The pour is a slightly hazy yellow/golden color with a mild off-white head.
S: Tons of banana notes fill the nose. The banana is quite sweet, almost sugary, with some nice spice notes in support and a sweet wheat aroma.
T: The flavor is much like the nose. Lots of sweet, overripe bananas and a more balanced dose of clove. The wheat is mild and sort of overpowered by the yeast contributions, but does provide some sweetness.
M: The body is light to medium with a moderate level of carbonation to the beer.
D: Pretty decent American style hefeweizen, but the banana could be a bit much at times (as could the sweetness).
