Fad: Bedre end Swamis. Orange klar med et lille skumhoved. Eksotisk frugt og tea i duften. Blød mundfylde giver en meget balanceret IPA der sidder i skabet. Jeg troede det ville være den bedste indtil jeg fik Jetty senere.

UPDATED: JUN 7, 2012 (Draught) Pours hazy orange amber. The aroma holds citrus, flowers, earth, tea, light fruits, oranges, toast, bread and light caramel. The flavour is light sweet and medium to heavily bitter with citrus flowers, earth, resin, toast and dry caramel. The mouthfeel is round, clean, soft and light tart with a light carbonation. Grapefruity finish. Medium bodied.

Draft. Beautiful clear golden pour with a long-lasting two-finger white head and some lacing. The aroma is great, intensely hoppy with a strong citrus (orange) note and a touch of pine. The flavor has a good caramel and pale malt base that stays out of the way of the hops, which attack your palate with orange, tangerine, and pineapple. Medium-bodied with a good hoppy oiliness and medium-plus carbonation. Another great Pizza Port IPA.

Growler fill from Carlsbad. Nice citrus aroma, clear orange color. Very little carbonation which makes it feel thinner than other PP IPAs. Good but not great.

On tap at Carlsbad. Medium bodied and a slight caramel malt presence. Now we are getting into some c hops again with a nice grapefruit hop flavor to balance out the caramel a bit. Finish is a touch bitter.

Rating #8 of this one, enjoyed at Stone after Saul’s funeral. Serious cat piss on the nose of this one. I’m not sure which hops/combination thereof gives the lovely ammonia cat pee aroma you sometimes get in a big IPA, but this one has it in a big, wonderful way. Probably not a session brew, however.

On tap@Port Carlsbad: Pours a golden amber color with a small white head. Aroma is lightly grassy with sweet citrus. Flavor starts with a light caramel sweetness followed by some crisp, spicy citrus (orange and grapefruit bitterness) and a long dry finish. Medium body is tangy with lively carbonation.

Clear yellow with a fizzy white head. Big grassy pine andcitrus hoppy aroma and taste with an astringent resiny finish.

Beautiful light copper color. Grapefruit, piney and cottoncandy and a touch of toffee in the mouth. Very full bodied, huge caramel backbone, but it is balanced by massive amounts of hops. This drinks much bigger than 7.8% . Very interesting .
