Not as good at the end as it was at the beginning. Got a little oily it seemed and was a shade "waterier" than its cousin the Poor Man’s IPA. Still, cant say I didn’t enjoy it. Good stuff overall.

Tap @ PP Carlsbad. Clear golden pour with a rocky white head. Aroma is pine with citrus and a clean, slightly grainy malt backbone. Taste is on the bitter side with some sharp pine and balancing malt sweetness (minimal though). Clean, lightly coating mouthfeel. Well done IIPA with pine and bitterness as the main features.

On tap at the source. Pours with a clear golden orange hued body with a lasting egg shell white head with good lace and retention. Aromas are of citrus, medium ester, lots of hops, grassy, alcohol, light caramel. Flavors are citrusy, herbaceous and a touch boozy with some bready and light caramel malt back bone. Lively bubbles, bone dry and boozy. A great DIPA, nothing unexpected from a place like Pizza Port.

The pour is orange in color with a white head, nice lacing on it, too. Intense grapefruit and pineapple aroma. Tons of pine in there, too. A bit of sweet malt, mostly caramel, and a touch of floral hops. The citrus flavor is quite strong with plenty of grapefruit. Pineapple, pine, and tangerine add to the awesome hop flavor. Mild bitterness with a pleasant malt sweetness throughout.
