decaturstevo (1335), decatur, Tennessee, USA Oct 23, 2008 Deep brown with hints of red. Tan head and lace. Peat and toasted malt on the nose. Rich toasted malt and vanilla flavor with a light to medium bitter. Creamy full bodied. Nice porter. Head and shoulders above the beers I had to this point. rman18 (178), South Amboy, New Jersey, USA Apr 13, 2008 Poured a dark brown with a small white/tannish head that lasted probably half way down the glass. The flavor was coffee, chocolate. Palate was nice with beautiful carbonation. One of my favorites at this brewpub. HoppityHop (89), USA Feb 16, 2008 Poured a nearly opaque brown, with blonde highlights. Little head or lacing. Smelled and tasted a bit like iced coffee. Carbonation was pretty much spot on, flavor was mild, yet all the right flavors were there, the coffee, the malt, the slightest hint of toffee. Looks like a Porter or almost even a stout, yet tastes more like a Porter leaning towars a Brown. However, that’s not a bad thing and it might be the best out of the handfull of Pizzeria Uno offerings I’ve tried. Rastacouere (5418), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 28, 2007 Pint served very cold. Hazy dark brown pour leaving a lasting beige foam. Surprisingly hoppy and ridiculously cheap at 1.75$. Bready, well-roasted ale with flowery aromas. Gentle brown chocolate flavours together with a minimally lactic tang. Highly effervescent, exaggeratedly so even cuts the flavour evolution short and bites the tongue sharply and unfortunately. sheatripper (831), Brooklyn, New York, USA Oct 3, 2007 Several samples at "Central Jersey" beerfest. Basic porter qualities of roast coffee and chocolate malts, with a slightly minerally finish. Balanced, tasty and easy to please.
