Rastacouere (5258), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 28, 2007 Pint served very cold. Hazy dark brown pour leaving a lasting beige foam. Surprisingly hoppy and ridiculously cheap at 1.75$. Bready, well-roasted ale with flowery aromas. Gentle brown chocolate flavours together with a minimally lactic tang. Highly effervescent, exaggeratedly so even cuts the flavour evolution short and bites the tongue sharply and unfortunately. hopdog (4525), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 3, 2005 On tap at Pizzeria Unos. Poured a dark, dark brown color (with red at the edges) and a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of chocolate and roasted malts. Tastes of chocolate, roasted malts with light coffee in the finish. Thinner body. Light lacing left on the glass. jcwattsrugger (3802), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Mar 21, 2006 on tap-pours a tan head with black color and red tinting. Aroma is malty, sweet, coffee. Taste follows, nicely done but not my taste. Eyedrinkale (3102), Beer Town, New York, USA May 14, 2004 Smells like chocolate covered cherries. Flavor was full bodied with a rich, bitter taste. Also noted some fermented oranges in there somewhere. . egajdzis (2947), Terrapin, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 3, 2005 Poured a very dark brown color with a thin, light tan head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla beans, and roasted malts, and much of the same in the taste, with nuts becoming apparent as well. A bit of astringency in the finish.
