mkobes (2045), paramus, New Jersey, USA Feb 15, 2004 Good beer. Black in color with a nice head. Roasty. Very malty. full bodied. Enjoyable. Great beer. Very smooth. Dogbrick (2358), Columbus, Ohio, USA Sep 2, 2003 This beer is really good! Pours almost black with a medium beige head. Thin and sticky lacing. The aroma is roasty and nutty. Very full-bodied for a Porter, it almost borders on a Stout which is A-OK in my book. Rich flavors of malt, caramel, coffee and chocolate throughout. The finish is smooth and has a bit of hops in it. One of the better Porters I have tried, and definitely the best beer you can get at Uno's. tsarman (794), Northern, New Jersey, USA May 28, 2005 One of their better beers. A porter that tasted very full and robust. "Hardy" in their words. A good example of the style. Coffee espresso notes--this was all Starbucks. Creamy. Dark brown ruby black. More bitterness than some porters. hophead75 (1732), Boonton, New Jersey, USA Mar 31, 2007 This was the standout of my trip to the brewpub. Dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is nice- chocolate, caramel.toffee, light notes of smoke and earthy hops. Taste is chocolate, caramel, earthy hops, some dark fruit, with a lightly astrigent and light to moderately bitter finish. really nice porter. freekyp (827), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA Apr 13, 2003 Nearly black with small, tan head. Strong roasty chocolate calt nose. Slightly sweet on initial swallow, with bitterness taking a firm hold on the finish. Bitterness lingers in the aftertaste only with a dark chocolate aftertaste. Excellent!
