rman18 (146), South Amboy, New Jersey, USA Apr 13, 2008 Pours red (obviously) with a small white head. Tastes much like a Killians red with light flavor of caramel. Light palate overall its just OK. Worth a try. HoppityHop (75), USA Feb 16, 2008 Not much aroma, but what was there was all malt and nothing else. Has a reddish-copper hue and a very short off white head that provided nice lacing all the way down. A bit overcarbonated and watery, this doesn’t taste like any Irish Red (or Amber ale) I’ve ever had, but was crisp and easy to drink. Not much flavor here, with almost no hop presence makes it balanced in a bland sort of way. I would consider this to be a "starter" more than even a session type offering. Nothing special. hophead75 (1637), Boonton, New Jersey, USA Mar 31, 2007 sampled at the brewpub. Amber in color, aroma is light floral hops and malt, some light roast. Taste is pretty much the same with a lighly bitter finish. not bad. illinismitty (1361), Nashville, Tennessee, USA May 15, 2006 Sample at Metuchen,NJ location. Not much aroma here, maybe because of the sample size? Copper red brown color. Initial flavor that is strong in caramel and brown suger, but quickly dissipates. Hoppy finisih is spicy with some notes of pumperknickel, but I pick up too much hairspray flavors. The weakest of the sampler. Dickinsonbeer (2505), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA May 9, 2006 This is a pretty decent amber ale. Nice medium to deep maber, and a thin lasting off white head with some lace. Aroma is earthy and tea-like with hints of citrus and a nice light crystal malt backbone. More crystal malt throughout, caramel, toffee, light nuttiness and a good crisp clean bitter finish.
