goldtwins (3747), Nesconset, New York, USA Feb 25, 2008 Growler @ Madness. Poured a clear deep copper color with an off-white head. The aroma was of diacetyl covered malt. The flavor was a dry caramel malt. Bitter finish and nothing real complex going on. The bitterness was long. Medium bodied. Ty5592 (1009), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 12, 2008 From growler. Aromas of caramel, butterscotch, and chocolate. Tastes of lighter butteriness, caramel, and roast. hophead75 (1732), Boonton, New Jersey, USA Mar 31, 2007 on tap at the brewpub. Deep amber/ruby in color. Aroma is caramel and light notes of chocolate. Taste is caramel, light chocolate, medium bodied, with a smooth finish. Could have used some more body and malt complexity- looking at other ratings, maybe this is a new recipe- overall this was pretty well made though. got better as it got warmer.... jcwattsrugger (4067), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Dec 26, 2006 on tap-pours a quickly dissipating light tan head and dark red color.
