COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: previously brewed at Næstvedbryggeriet Føniks.

UPDATED: DEC 17, 2012 Bottle. Golden with a creamy but quickly diminishing white head. The aroma is light malty and has weak hoppy notes of lemon, grass and pineapples. The flavor is sweet and medium bitter, with a rather thin body and notes of malt, tangerine and lemon. Dry bitter finish. Very average take on the IPA. And yes, the concept of Pladderballe Bryghus and the name of this beer is right away stupid and decidedly un-funny, just like Monrad & Rislund.

17-FEB-2012, bottle @home, from "Kvickly". Very hazy amber with lasting off-white cream-looking head. Weak nose - mostly malty caramel. Taste is malty caramel. Some hoppy fruit. Not very hoppy or bitter. Nice ale. Smooth and quite tasty - but not an IPA.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of hops, vegetables and fart with a note of malt. Sweetish, malty taste, offset by hoppy bitterness and a veggie note. Dryish finish. Would be ok if it wasn’t for the dart and the veggies.

Bottle bought in Denmark. Caramel nose with touch of orange. Fairly lively and gassy, sharp pine and citrus bitterness over caramel and a little burnt demerara and nuts.

Bottle. 6.0%. Best before 28.02.14. Pours a slightly hazy golden amber with an off-white head. Good lacing. Somewhat sour aroma with a yoghurt note. Bit of yeast as well. As it warms, cereals and hops appear, as well as a metallic overtone. Tart, sweetish hoppy and malty flavour with a metallic overtone. Fruity and a slight spicy note as it warms. Bitter liquorice finish. Overall so-so. The flavour is okay, if nothing special, but the aroma is a bit messy, although it improves a bit as it warms. 16.05.13.

50 cl. bottle, shared. Cloudy, golden-amber colour with a dense, off-white head. Sweet aroma with citrus, grass, caramel malts, bread, fruits and yeasts. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture and a lively carbonation. Finishes dry and bitter with fruits and citrus. One of the better offerings from this "brewery", albeit a bit unrefined.
