0,5 l bottle from Superbrugsen Vig Sjælland. Pours a near-clear golden brown colored body, under a low fully diminshing blond top. A nice fruitiness to the nose, berries and orange marmelade. Tones of pepper and mild spices. Medium full. Oily mouthfeel. Taste of sweet toasted malts, tinned fruits and mild spces in general. A light peppery bitterness is lurking under. Sweet fruity and malty finish. Too sweet to be more than a decent beverage. [Sjællands Odde, 17.07.13]

17-FEB-2012, bottle @home, from "Kvickly". Very hazy amber with lasting off-white cream-looking head. Weak nose - mostly malty caramel. Taste is malty caramel. Some hoppy fruit. Not very hoppy or bitter. Nice ale. Smooth and quite tasty - but not an IPA.

Bottle bought in Denmark. Caramel nose with touch of orange. Fairly lively and gassy, sharp pine and citrus bitterness over caramel and a little burnt demerara and nuts.

Pours a hazy and amber beer with a white head. The aroma is malt and hops with citrus and grass. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is bitterness with some sweetness. Overall this is an average beer.

Off white very small head, somewhat hazy amber body. Aroma; pine, resin, grapefruit peel, orange notes, juicy roasted malts. Taste; juicy resiny malts, citrus peel, undefined fruity notes, roasted caramel stuff. On palate decent, good body, soft carbonation. Finishes milder, still roastiness and bitterness present, among caramel notes. Overall alright. [50cl brown btl 6.0%abv BB20.11.14]

50 cl. bottle, shared. Cloudy, golden-amber colour with a dense, off-white head. Sweet aroma with citrus, grass, caramel malts, bread, fruits and yeasts. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture and a lively carbonation. Finishes dry and bitter with fruits and citrus. One of the better offerings from this "brewery", albeit a bit unrefined.

UPDATED: DEC 17, 2012 Bottle. Golden with a creamy but quickly diminishing white head. The aroma is light malty and has weak hoppy notes of lemon, grass and pineapples. The flavor is sweet and medium bitter, with a rather thin body and notes of malt, tangerine and lemon. Dry bitter finish. Very average take on the IPA. And yes, the concept of Pladderballe Bryghus and the name of this beer is right away stupid and decidedly un-funny, just like Monrad & Rislund.
