Pours copper with a beige head. Aroma is caramel, clove staranise, cinnamon and liquorish. Flavour is caramel, staranise, clove, cinnamon and alcohol.

500ml bottle, trade with Skinnyviking. Cloudy orange coloured body to an off-white head, spotty lacework. Rather perfumed aroma of caramel and aniseed. The taste character is a mixture of apricot, caramel and aniseed. More sweet than bitter to the ending. Ok, but far from great (hotel room, Copenhagen 21.03.2013).

Clear medium amber colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, spicy, anis, light to moderate hoppy. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20121110]

Almost cear amber with low tan head.
Aroma is very weak. Mostly spice and caramel. More spice on the taste. Loads of star anise giving it a licorise note. Malty with bread and caramel. A little orange peel. Medium carbonation. Body on the thin side. Short finish. Not all that bitter uninteresting.

Sweet but metallic aroma and bittersweet taste, quite boring. Aftertaste a bit too bitter. Appearance: Orange, cloudy beer with alnmost no head, which disappears fast.

50 cl. bottle. Slightly hazy amber colour with a golden tint. Fast fading off-white head. Malty and spicy aroma with star anise, caramel malts and licorice, Taste is sweet and spicy. Medium body, thin feel and an average carbonation, Sweet and spicy finish with star anise. Too much star anise, actually. Even though Christmas is long over, and this beer is recommended by a couple of shabby comedians, it´s still to one-dimensional.

Bottled. A hazy red beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of spices, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of star anise, malt, caramel, and hints of hops, leading to a dry spicy finish.

It’s hazy red-brown with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of anise and malt, it’s mild. The flavor has a light sweetness and the same notes - way too much anise for my liking...
