3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
0.5l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. Slowly on its way out of the bottle it pours a deep dark brown body with a small quickly sidesticking light brown top. On the nose I get both leather and licorice combined with a soft roastiness and traces of chocolate powder. Not horrible at all. It’s soft to average on the carbonation with a gliding light mouthfeel. The taste has both chocolate, roasted malts, soft traces of leather and a nice gentle bitterness. Is this the strangest name on a beer ever? I’m not sure. Perhaps? But it’s actually quite a nice easy drinking beer. 09.01.2012

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle, shared with Bergen Beer Geek Tasting Crew. Dark, near-black brown body with a small white head. Aroma is licorice, leather, hints of burnt toast and a stomach-acid-neutralizer called "Nyco" in Norway. Strange. Taste is chocolate, roasty grain notes, hints of chocolate and bread. Fair enough. Medium body and carbonation. No winner, but not the worst I’ve had.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
50 cl bottle @ Timo A.
Pours deep dark red, almost black color with a medium, rapidly dissipating head. Aroma of mild espresso, toasted malts, hints of caramel, fruits and mild hops. Flavor of ashy chocolate, toasted malts, sourish fruits, caramel and goose berries. High CO2, bitter and a bit sourish palate.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500 ml bottle. Thanks Timo A.
Pours a black colour with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, raisins and some hay notes. Flavour of roasted malts, strong grassy hops, bubblegum, dried apricot, yeast and some juicy fruitiness. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a fruity, roasty and quite yeasty finish. Somewhat unbalanced. Also reminds me of a black IPA somehow.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Rating #775, bottle from my sister.
Black; or rather very dark brown beer with a solid and dense beige head. Yeast fragments are present in bottle and glass as well- nothing to complain about when it comes to the appearance. Roasted aroma with notes of liqourice, but also some menthol and undefineable tart aromas. Dry, roasted and liqouricy flavour with a bit pepper, alcohol and decent bitterness, all ending in a medium bitter and bit ashy feel. Ordinary stout palate. A no bullshit true-to-style stout, but don’t expect any fancy ingredients or non-nessecary features.
