3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Holmen1 (1079) - NORWAY - MAR 31, 2013

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 StoutHead (239) - DENMARK - FEB 20, 2013
Bottle. Pours a deep red with a light-brown head. Not much aroma to speak of. Taste has notes of lightly roasted malt and caramel. Slightly short and bitter aftertaste. Mouthfeel is thin. Pretty average "safe" beer.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Palme (2252) - Bergen, NORWAY - FEB 13, 2013
0.5l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. Slowly on its way out of the bottle it pours a deep dark brown body with a small quickly sidesticking light brown top. On the nose I get both leather and licorice combined with a soft roastiness and traces of chocolate powder. Not horrible at all. It’s soft to average on the carbonation with a gliding light mouthfeel. The taste has both chocolate, roasted malts, soft traces of leather and a nice gentle bitterness. Is this the strangest name on a beer ever? I’m not sure. Perhaps? But it’s actually quite a nice easy drinking beer. 09.01.2012
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 ClubGonzo (2718) - Bergen, NORWAY - JAN 28, 2013
Bottle, shared with Bergen Beer Geek Tasting Crew. Dark, near-black brown body with a small white head. Aroma is licorice, leather, hints of burnt toast and a stomach-acid-neutralizer called "Nyco" in Norway. Strange. Taste is chocolate, roasty grain notes, hints of chocolate and bread. Fair enough. Medium body and carbonation. No winner, but not the worst I’ve had.
