COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle from Brugsen, Christianshavn - amber pour with small diminishing head. Malty caramel, slight hoppy, very sweet, some slight herbs/spice. Pretty boring, uninspiring.

Bottle. 5.7%. Best before 26.09.13. Pours a hazy amber/copper with a tan head. Bit of lacing. Sweet, almost sugary aroma with a strong note of anise, and a bit of hops in the background. Cloying. Flavour is sweetish and a bit malty, with here as well; not as outspoken as in the aroma at first, but it gains strength as it warms. Picks up a grainy/cereal note as it warms as well. Mildly bitter and slightly tart finish, anise here as well. Lingering light notes of grass, hay and a touch of liquorice. Slightly greasy palate. Overall so-so. Not badly done, but not great either, and I don’t really care for anise – too cloying for my liking. 12.09.13.

50 cl bottle @ Timo A, BBE 26.09.2013
Aroma has sweet malty notes, hay, anise and hints of licorice. Flavour is spicy with anise, licorice, sweetish malt and hints of brown sugar. Quite strong on anise but I like it.

lusikka (7102) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 1, 2013
500 ml bottle, thanks Timo A. Pours a dark amber colour with a white head. Aroma of licorice root, anise, grass and some toffee. Flavour of licorice, berries, anise, caramel, berries and some bread. Light bodied, oily mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Finishes sweet and berryish. Not very impressive.

Bottle. Clear deep amber beer with a small not lasting white head. Raisins, hoppy and rubber aroma. Hoppy flavour with some strange aftertaste...not a nice one at all...

500ml bottle, trade with Skinnyviking. Cloudy orange coloured body to an off-white head, spotty lacework. Rather perfumed aroma of caramel and aniseed. The taste character is a mixture of apricot, caramel and aniseed. More sweet than bitter to the ending. Ok, but far from great (hotel room, Copenhagen 21.03.2013).
