Cask handpull at the Bridge Inn, Bristol. Port stout. Deep black in colour, with a coffee colour head. Plumb and roasted chocolate aroma, with a very subtle flavour. Silky smooth texture the highlight of this rather nice beer.

(Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Dark brown colour, almost black, with brief beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, black rye bread and hints of ashes. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, coffee, dark rye bread and a fairly dry finish with a generous roasty bitterness. Medium body, mainly dry. Highly drinkable and very nice.

Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. On February 23, 2013. Very dark brown color, small teal head. Sweet, malty scent. Sweet, malty, lean taste. Malty, caramel aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, low bitterness. Very smooth, nice and highly drinkable. Get it fresh and tasty!

Pours pitch black with a smooth light brown head. Aroma of smooth roastiness, hints of malts, wood and vanilla. Taste is smooth, mildly roasty, with hints of wood, vanilla and chocolate. Smooth, tasty finish with mild roastiness. Nice, quite tasty and balanced stout.

Cask. Pours black in color with thin tan head. Salty licorice in aroma, roasted malts and light notes coffee as well in aroma. Extremely smooth mouthfeel, just like black velvet. Salty licorice, hints of seawater, grinded coffee beans and even some slightly burnt wood in taste. Smooth, so smooth, this has to be the best real ale for me in awhile. Salty licorice with hints of tobacco in finish. Really tasty and the mouthfeel is just awesome through the entire time.

Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Black with cream head. Quite a sweetish, smooth, fruity stout, there is a warm mouthfeel with a plummy note, certainly deeply roasted malts, milk chocolate. Reasonable enough.
