With the purity and sublimity of summers days past, Innocence is an ale with which to relax, an ale to be savoured, an ale around which to weave memories. Touched by the delicate fragrances of the scorched earth yet with the citric crispness and freshness of a woodland stream this golden straw coloured beer refreshes and revives, elevates and aspires. It is without doubt its simplicity and delicacy that gives this ale its unpretentious grace, a real innocent in a world of lost souls.

Cask at the Bird in Hand, Knowl Hill. A pale straw pour with a tight white head; sweet floral aroma with some berry fruit; sweet and fruity in the mouth, but with an immeidate fresh bitterness and a light biscuity body; the finish has strawberries and cream while retaining most of the bitterness. An excellent, refined, light bitter.

on Cask at Charles Dickens. Pours clear gold color with a slight head, minimal aromas. light-bodied but flavorful. smooth mouthfeel. nice malty flavor up front followed by mellow hoppiness. holds its own well with low carbonation and near room temperature end of pint experience.

Cask at the Cleveland Arms - Bayswater, London. Pours perfectly clear, yellow-gold with a frothy, white head. Elementary aroma with notes of dry doughy pale malts and some citrus rind. Light sweet flavor with further pale and lightly doughy malts, some straw, nips of cereal and ripe lemon. Light bodied with fine carbonation; great condition. Nicely balanced to finish with refreshing lemon character, faint tangy citrus, supporting pale bread, slight bitter hay and straw. It’s a pretty basic golden but the condition lifts this beer impressively.

Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear pale golden. Bready nose with a bit of grass. Mid sweet with light-medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with bready malt and mid bitter finish. Ordinary in a good way.

Cask at The Bermuda Triangle, in tip-top condition; golden, bright, thin tight white head; tastes of lush tropical fruit - peach, passion fruit, some orange; good body for the abv; light bitterness at the finish; at times reminiscent of good sweet white wine - more Sauternes than Salisbury Plain; super-sessionable summer drinking - one for the hottest of days; I had to order another.

Cask conditioned handpump Evening Star Brighton 20/05/12. A golden beer with a whitish head and lacing. A sweetish husky aroma with hints of citrus. Decent crunchy malts in the mouth. Nicely balance with a hint of fruit. Pretty tasty but super drinkability.
