Junction Inn, Southampton. A drinkable beer. But fairly ordinary and unremarkable. Session bitters should be easy drinking and not draw attention to themselves , and this does that job perhaps a little too well.

Cask at the Waggon & Horses during the RateBeer Black Country Bus Bash. Pours clear, deep gold with a creamy white head. Nice beer with some lightly grainy and doughy malts and a bit of dried orange. Light in body with fine carbonation. Sweet and doughy malts to finish with a bit more orange. OK.

Cask at the Bell and Bottle, Shinfield, Reading. Amber with a tight white head; grainy aroma with a touch of citrus; grainy body with and orangey citrus taste; and pleasant leafy bitterness to finish. A fairly standard golden ale.

Cask @ The Waggon & Horses during the Ratebeer Black Country Bash. The pour’s deep gold with a small head. The nose is faint bread, honey. Little else. The taste is general pale malt. More honey. Tracker bar sweetness. Light body, fine carbonation. Decent, inoffensive.

Lightly hazed golden with a thin off white head which dissipates edgeward.
Nose is summer fruits, trace of diacetyl, sugars.
Taste comprises bitter fruits, light toffee, sugar, good old butter and his friend scotch!
Medium bodie, moderate carbonation, light bitterness in the finale.
Sub par mediocrity.

Tap at the Waggon and Horses, Halesowen. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a broken white head. The aroma is malty leading to a weak malty flavour with a watery palate.
