Grain and bread malts, straw, light caramel. Clear amber, medium, creamy, white head. Light bitter. More grain and cereal malts, soft carbonation, light bodied, bitter finish, as boring as that. Boring Bitter, Plain can do much better than this. Cask at Tabard, Chiswick.

Junction Inn, Southampton. A drinkable beer. But fairly ordinary and unremarkable. Session bitters should be easy drinking and not draw attention to themselves , and this does that job perhaps a little too well.

Cask @ The Waggon & Horses during the Ratebeer Black Country Bash. The pour’s deep gold with a small head. The nose is faint bread, honey. Little else. The taste is general pale malt. More honey. Tracker bar sweetness. Light body, fine carbonation. Decent, inoffensive.
