Pours a hazy golden orange colour with a large foamy head. Aroma of wheat, sourish fruits, banana and caramel. Flavour is rather strong and sweet with fruits, sourish berries, grassy hops, banana, mellow caramel, alcohol, grains and vanilla. Gets even better when the yeast is poured in. Full bodied, very smooth and rich mouthfeel and high, although very soft carbonation. Finishes sweet, chewy and warming. Excellent balance. My choice of a winter warmer this season.

Bottled (from Alko Prisma, Vaasa). Hazy orange colour with a mediumsized slightly off-white head. Aroma is wheat, mild rubbery and citrusy notes with some slight spices and yeastyness. Flavour is balanced wheat, citrus, yeast and some slight spices. Mild rubbery aftertaste along with some toffee as well.

500 ml bottle. BB 03/10/13. (Alko) Helsinki, Finland.
Murky dirty brown colour with big fluffy white head and quite a lot sediment floating around. Wheat, yeast, bread, mild sweetness and mild fruitiness in aroma. Flavour is floury dryness, caramel sweetness, bread, wheat and alcohol warmth. Some balancing bitterness. Decent.

Bottle 50 cl, BBE 13.03.2013. Dark golden in color with a creamy white head. Sweet wheat, fruits, ripe banana in aroma, some sour notes perhaps too. Lovely. Sweet, sweet wheat and marzipan with yeast mostly in taste. Feels a bit too sweet at first and sadly this cloying sweetness continues through out the whole time.

Bottle. Thanks to KyotoLefty. Big Juicy Fruity, alc., and banana nose. Cloudy golden straw color. Amped-up banana initial; flavor mellows nicely in mid; final has touches of bitterness and alc. warmth. Medium-heavy body. Good, chewy, fruity weizenbock.

UPDATED: OCT 29, 2012 500 ml bottle. Fragrant, big nose, citrus, alcohol, wheat, touch of peach and banana. It is also quite acidic, though I don’t know if that’s supposed to be there. Flavor is also sweet-and-sour, not sure if that’s on purpose. Funky, lambic-esque tartness works with bread, banana, apricots, a bit of grapefruit. Acidity was a big surprise. I think it works, well enough anyway. It makes it very interesting and unique, though I think the regular hefeweizen is far more perfect. Still, this is excellent. The tartness makes it oh so drinkable.

500ml bottle. It is more joyeur than Aventinus for me! Orange coloured, rocky head, exotic tropical tastes (ananas, banana) beside of malty sweetness and some hoppy bitter at the end of gulps.

16.9oz bottle 8/22/12 (Binny’s Downers Grove) 42° in Mug-Pours a dark golden with a huge off white head with a bunch of floaties. Aroma of malt, yeast, and caramel. Taste of the same with a bit more caramel and yeast. This medium bodied brew is well balanced and quite tasty.

Dark golden color with a small amout of haze. 1/2" white head which disapears quickly . Aroma is vanilla, honey, bubblegum. Enters rich and creamy the as it devolps gets fizzy/crisp and has a dry finish. Sort of two beers in one. You get this lush banana bread entry, bisquits with honey flavor. Then you get a quick burst of citrus and spice, carbonation becomes evident, and a quick dry finish. No lone complexity here, over and done, but has you wanting more. There is a slight alchohol warmth at the ending as well. Medium mouthfeel, that seems to lighten up at the end, very slight hoppy aspect , plenty of yeast throughout, more so in the beggining. Ausgezeichnet !

Sörmanufaktúra, Bp. Unclear orange coloured one with a rocky and stabile off-white head. Sweet-tart, banana fruity nose and aroma with citrus, breadcrumb and cloves underpainted by alcohol. Thick and sticky mouthfeel. Tart and medium dry finish escorted by citrusses, spices and distinct alcohol. Enjoyable and delicious.
