1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
This is a rather weak and yeasty brew. It has a boring and weak aroma, thin body and ends in a slightly fruity finish.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Nice light orange color, cloudy. Grain and citrus notes. Typical grain flavor from this brewery, some orange peel notes and acidity. A little bit thin at the end but drinkable.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
A quite strange beer. Is there powder in this beer. I feels quite unfiltered and dusty.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Amber, slight haze; yellowish small head. Grainy, bready, yeasty nose. Typical not MUCH nose for this brewery. Faint citrus too. Taste even more bready. Nice, again typical wholewheat or rye (of course, it is spelt) flavour. Fine aroma's, turning nutty after a bit warming up. Again, this spritzy, mineral-water sensation, without making the beer too thinnish. I like it - without deeming it really great. The brewery has obviously a tasterofile it likes, and that's OK with me.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
recommended on the label by hildegard von bingen, the notorious medieval nutcase nun-composer. dunno about this dinkel stuff, i havent had many of the joyful sensations that she goes on about yet. tastes honeyish, and slightly tart, with a roof-of-the-mouth clinging herbal finish. weird.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Lovely orange, slightly hazy appearance. Slight cellar aroma. Medium bodied, low bitterness.

2.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
The aroma is lovely, but it promises what the taste cannot deliver. A skunky, unpleasantly bitter and overcarbonated beer.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 5, 2004 Re-rate:
Citric,peach-like, dusty-bready notes and sharp rye-like edges in the aroma.
Cloudy orange-amber, low carbonation and a not-too-stable head.
citrus, white bread a few dry edges (but not as much as in an average rye-wheat).
Also the Riedenburger dust-note is here again (I am not just imagining things am I?).
All in all the flavors are quite harmonic and fill the mouth well.
Medium body with a spritzy mouthfeel.
